Surgical Oncology Products

Salient Surgical’s first products were monopolar devices used in surgical oncology procedures. Today, both our monopolar devices and bipolar AQUAMANTYS® System are used in surgical oncology. Both platforms employ Salient’s patented TRANSCOLLATION® technology, a combination of RF (radiofrequency) energy and saline that has been clinically shown to reduce blood transfusion rates during and after liver resection, reduces the need for renal clamping in partial nephrectomies and may reduce post-operative pancreatic leaks following distal pancreatectomies.^*,1,2

Our monopolar devices are designed to aid in blunt dissection and haemostatic sealing of soft tissue and bone during open and laparoscopic procedures. The AQUAMANTYS 9.5 XL Bipolar Sealer offers the same benefits on a bipolar platform.**
