AQUAMANTYS® System - Clinical Benefits for Surgeons, Patients and Hospitals

Salient’s AQUAMANTYS® System uses patented TRANSCOLLATION® technology – a combination of RF (radiofrequency) energy and saline – to stop bleeding and reduce blood loss during surgery. Using the AQUAMANTYS generator with patented bipolar and monopolar sealers, surgeons can achieve broad tissue-surface haemostasis by applying TRANSCOLLATION technology in a painting motion, or it can be used to spot-treat bleeding vessels. The AQUAMANTYS System has been shown to offer the following benefits:

TRANSCOLLATION technology provides specific benefits in a variety of surgical procedures.

Orthopaedic Reconstruction

  • Beneficial for high-risk multiple-comorbidity patients susceptible to increased blood loss ††,9
  • Reduces blood loss during total hip arthoplasty (THA) and total knee arthroplasty (TKA) procedures *,1,2

Spine

  • Successfully prevents and stops epidural bleeding near critical structures**
  • Decreases surgical time and blood loss per level fused4,10
  • May help improve visibility in the surgical field **,4

Surgical Oncology

  • Reduces need for blood transfusions during liver resections 11
  • Reduces need for renal clamping in partial nephrectomies12
  • Reduces post-operative pancreatic leaks†††,13
