Salient Surgical Technologies is an advanced medical technology company that develops and markets surgical products based on our proprietary Transcollation™ Technology platform for the sealing of blood vessels and other collagen-based structures. The company was founded in 1999 and is located on the New Hampshire Seacoast.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Actively identify and call on surgeons and hospital stakeholders to communicate the benefits and value of improving patient outcomes through the use of Salient Surgical Technology’s proprietary technology, Transcollation
- Exemplify Salient’s compliance and ethics initiatives, promoting a culture of integrity and ethical business practices
- Achieve revenue and margin goals
- Develop a customized value based sales strategy for each potential customer based on their unique needs, interests and evaluation criteria
- Aggressively focus on top 1000 hospitals
- Collaborate with Sales Leadership, Marketing, Clinical Education Specialists, Advanced Technology Specialists and Customer Support, aligning the entire organization behind our common goals and objectives
- Proctor surgeons and clinical staff on the use of Salient’s advanced energy technologies
- Accurately forecast revenues and capital equipment placements for the territory
- Maintain and support current accounts with an eye toward deeper penetration within existing accounts
Required Experience and Skills:
- 3+ years experience in medical device sales
- Bachelors degree
- Must have a track record of achievement and success as a sales professional
- Must possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Experience selling with a consultative, solutions oriented approach
- Possessing unquestionable integrity, credibility and character
- Highly energetic and motivated
- A team player with a positive attitude
- Determined to succeed, will not waver in the face of adversity
Special Requirements
Travel throughout territory required. Salient Surgical Technologies sales employees are required to legally possess and carry a valid driver’s license (valid in the USA) and to own car insurance equal to that required by law.
Successful completion including passing grades in all sales training programs is mandatory and a condition of employment. Failure to meet criteria for successful completion of sales training will result in termination of employment with Salient Surgical Technologies, Inc.
Additionally, copies of immunization records must be forwarded to and filed with Salient’s Corporate Human Resources team within the first 30 days of employment. This ensures that Salient can quickly respond to and complete hospital registrations which ultimately results in getting the employee quickly and properly qualified to enter the OR of targeted hospitals and in front of prospective customers without unnecessary delays. (Countries outside of the USA may have varying requirements with which we will comply.)
Immunization records include:
- MMR Immunity vaccination
- Chicken Pox (Varicella) Immunity .
- Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis) every 10 yrs
- Hep B Vaccination (a three series vaccination).
- Neg TB Test or Chest X-ray (annual test)
- Drug/alcohol testing – currently, on an as-needed basis
Tools and Equipment Used
Personal computer, including word-processing, spreadsheet, and database software; motor vehicle, phone.
